Postions and Arm Placements

In ballet, there are two positions. The first is parallel, and the second is turn out.
Parallel is where your feet are parallel to your front. | |
Turn out is where your toes and femurs face outwards, away from your center. \ /
In addition to the two positions, there are different arm placements. The three placements are en bas, en avant, and en haut.
En bas (ahn(on)-bah): low.
En avant (on-a-vant): mid (also called the gateway between en bas and en haut).
En haut (on-oh(O)): high.
